Because the shaft of horizontal wire drawing is installed horizontally, and the shaft of take-up machine and pay-off are also designed horizontally, so that during the drawing process, the wire is always in a torsion-free state, this is very helpful for the quality of wire drawn.

Horizontal drum has better cooling results

The horizontal drum is designed with special cooling water to ensure a good cooling effect.

1. The unique water-cooling design inside the drum is conducive to full heat exchange between the inner surface of the drum and the cooling water.
2. The cooling water stirred by the specially designed water ejector flange fixed on the drum cover, forces the cooling water with low temperature from the inlet pipe in the middle of the drum to contact the inner wall of the drum so that the cooling water flows along the inner wall of the drum. After sufficient heat exchange, the heat generated by wire drawing is taken away from the drum, and the heat dissipation efficiency is improved.
3. The structure of the horizontal drum ensures that half a tank of cooling water is always kept in the drum, making sure that the cooling function works even when there is a short time of water outage.
4. The spindle is a hollow shaft with circulating cooling water inside the spindle, which can effectively take away the heat generated by the bearing and is conducive to prolonging the life span of the bearing.

Effectively avoid spindle bearing damage caused by water.

Compared with the traditional vertical wire drawing machine, the synchronous motor is placed horizontally, allowing that the spindle bearing and the cooling water are completely isolated. Therefore, the bearing damage caused by water leakage is completely avoided while cooling the bearing.

Simpler to clean up the scale

The cover of the end of the drum is fixed with screws. When open up the cover the inside of the drum can be completely seen. It is simple and quick to remove the scale inside the drum and does not need to remove the whole drum, which reduces the maintenance workload.

Easy to assembly/disassembly the drum

The drum is fixed on the flange of the drum seat with bolts. If the drum needs to be removed, the drum can be removed only after the fixed bolts are removed, but the vertical wire drawing machine needs the whole drum to be lifted down to do maintenance and descaling.

The working surface of the drum is sprayed with cemented carbide (tungsten carbide).

The surface is polished by mirror polish.

It is not only hard and wear-resistant but also does not damage the surface of the welding wire.

The inner surface of the drum is treated with hot spray zinc, which can effectively prevent scaling and requires less maintenance and cleaning cycle.
